Our Guiding Principles

We have also agreed a set of guiding principles to ensure that we concentrate our efforts in the areas where they will have the biggest impact:

01

EMISSION FIRST tackle reducing our GHG emissions as first priority

02

MOMENTUM BUILDS CONFIDENCE prioritise largest emissions areas and easy wins first

03

IT'S A JOURNEY learn from successes and failures

03

INDIVIDUAL ACTIONS = SHARED OUTCOMES encourage independent action by each Casbah Group company (Exposure, SEEN Group and THREESIXTY) to achieve shared outcomes

Our Carbon Footprint

In 2021 we embarked on our first externally led assessment by Hope Solutions to measure our environmental impact and identify priority focus areas. This assessment revealed The Casbah Group’s carbon footprint to be 8,162.5 tCO2e.

Since then we have carried out annual carbon footprint assessments. In 2023, we undertook our third assessment which revealed The Casbah Group’s carbon footprint to be 4,303.8 tCO2e.

This is a 44% reduction since 2022.

SUMMARY OF
PROGRESS

Open, honest and regular communication of our progress towards true sustainability is a key part of The Casbah Group Corporate Sustainability Policy commitments.

We have tailored our decision-making processes, our approach to business activities, our interactions with clients, and our collective internal behaviour to help achieve zero emissions by, and ideally before, 2030.

In 2023 we achieved net zero in scopes 1 & 2 (one year ahead of target) and a significant reduction in our emissions in scope 3. This gives us confidence that we are on the correct pathway to achieving our net zero goals. Nevertheless, we recognise that our mission is far from over. We have a long way to go and some of the most difficult challenges ahead of us. Our commitment remains resolute, as we strive to accomplish even more in 2024.
